Synopsis

The same day her special operations wing leaves for a rescue mission, Sergeant Rubi Wesson abruptly departs the Air Force. After becoming a successful counselor specializing in neurologic disorders, her military days seem like a distant dream.

When the September 11th tragedy brings the country to its knees, Rubi learns about a plane crash involving Flynn Fletcher, the pilot she loved but could never land. Locked in a toxic marriage, she is tormented by lingering questions and unshakable regrets.

The rehabilitation counselor becomes single again, daring to reconcile her losses. She uncovers what she buried so long ago, her what if. Will Rubi have the courage to reach into the past and chart a new course?
