Synopsis

Stumbling on a honeyhole–a powerful commodity in the candy-filled region of Bombón–teenaged twins Yansel and Graciela are forced to reckon with Lu Vine, a powerful candy dealer who will do anything to get his hands on the sugary wealth of the hole, including prying the twins apart.

Yansel is forced into conscription on a candy ship, and Graciela is abandoned to the wilds; they are determined to save their father’s legacy from desolation, the region from famine, and reunite their family, setting their feet on a trail of breadcrumbs, high seas, pirates, and true love.
