Synopsis

A simple ring couldn’t possibly grant the ability to time travel, could it? Lilyanna didn’t think so until she found herself in a manor house on the shores of Loch Ness two hundred years in the past with golden eyes and a glittering tattoo before she morphed through a mirror. Crazy, right? However, for the foster child, time traveling was a welcome change that gave her a loving, doting father, the Earl of Achmony, and a home she could call her own.

On the heels of her “father’s” death, the decree that she had to marry to keep the title of Countess of Achmony and her castle was a sucker punch she had hoped to avoid. Marriage? No, thank you. And why, on his deathbed, did he have to go and make the family friend, Lieutenant Davey, her guardian? He might play the guard dog role well, but he’s too cute to babysit her during her season in London.

Davey found Lilyanna to be a gloriously beautiful thorn in his side—a thorn he wished to cling to and never let go of despite the suffering of a wounded soldier. But her father’s last wishes were clear: No title-seeking fortune hunters were allowed. Therefore, Lilyanna was out of reach for him, even though his heart had entwined with hers the moment he set eyes on her. Can he endure playing her matchmaker and watching her dance with the lucky fools who could never deserve her?
