Synopsis

In 1920s Seattle, Katherine Wright appears to have it all—wealth, status, and a glittering social circle. But while her friends chase parties, marriage, and motherhood, Katherine longs for her own purpose. Determined to honor her late mother, she decides to open The Bloom and Brew Teahouse in Ballard, the working-class neighborhood where her mother was raised. But fearing she won’t be accepted in the community, she goes by another name.

Christopher Daniel Ford has walked away from his powerful father’s shipping empire to build a life of his own. Now calling himself Daniel, he takes a position as gardener on the Wright estate, keeping his past carefully hidden. A chance encounter by a koi pond—and the disappearance of a treasured gold frog brooch—unexpectedly intertwine their lives. When Katherine’s father insists Daniel assist with the teahouse, the two are forced into close partnership, and a slow-burning attraction begins to grow.

Prohibition has changed Seattle, and when a local mobster sets his sights on using the teahouse basement as a speakeasy, Katherine must decide how far she’s willing to go to protect her dream. As danger escalates and hidden truths threaten to surface, Katherine and Daniel must choose between safety and sacrifice. Will they discover that love can still flourish? Or will deception tear them apart?
