Synopsis

Would you choose love? Or a throne?

Eighteen-year-old Yakua Roca has one goal: secure a safe future for her struggling family. But when stone giants raze her mountain village, her carefully laid plans shatter. Instead of marrying the local priest, Yakua is handed over as a political pawn to a feared warlord known for his cruelty.

As a reluctant pretend-princess in a dangerous court, Yakua must hide her secrets, survive the intrigue of her new home, and convince the warlord to love her before he kills her. But as forbidden feelings take root, so do whispers of ancient magic—and a brutal power that could reshape the empire.

To protect those she loves, Yakua must decide: submit to a fate she never chose, or rise and change the course of a crumbling world.

Perfect for fans of The Red Queen and The Hunger Games, Empire of Glass and Stone is a sweeping epic of political betrayal, forbidden romance, Demi-gods and magic, and a heroine who refuses to be broken.
