Synopsis

Long ago, the oracle had forgotten his own name, but not his shame or his crime. Trapped for eternity inside a magic mirror, he makes an impossible vow to save a girl from the Emperor who killed her mother. Only is salvation—and redemption—really possible from behind glass?

This title novella and five other tales make up a captivating collection of clean, fantasy romance stories, including award-winning “Tree of the Lost”. We meet Kada, who in her determination to save her brother makes a deal with an otherworldly shopkeeper. The mute manservant Garrett, who is trying to free a princess trapped in her own mind, knowing they could both die in the attempt. Or Scarlet, who dives into an enchanted wood to find the confession of the man who betrayed her.

They navigate love and sacrifice in magical worlds where fate is a fickle friend. Will they find the courage to change their destinies, or will the shadows of their choices forever bind them?
