Synopsis

What’s a seamstress to do when her brother becomes an earl?

After the king names her older brother the Earl of Troxfot, Ellie is named the estate’s caretaker while her brother stays in the capital. As she suspected, the earldom is a mess from the traitor earl’s reign and needs a boost in funds from some rich nobles. The problem? She sounds too much like a peasant.

Ellie’s diction instructor doesn’t help matters. His methods irritate her, as do his flirtatious comments and handsome face. He seems to be keeping secrets from her, but it’s none of her business, right? Except maybe it is since her feelings for him keep growing…

Ellie of Troxfot is a clean, no-magic fantasy novelette that will make you cry laughing. If you like Pygmalion and King Thrushbeard but hate the MMCs, this is the book for you.
