Jenna Braden
The reopening of The Acorn Café is in just a few weeks, and I am not about to let some bigshot chef from Indianapolis ruin it, even if he is hot. The last thing I need is a repeat of what happened in New York. Unfortunately, my brother didn’t get the message. I can’t believe he invited Colton Miller to church and made me sit with him. Martin Braden needs to stick to preaching, not match-making.
I suppose I could give Colton another shot. He is a talented chef, and I do need help at the café. It certainly doesn’t hurt that he’s easy on the eyes. Between his good looks and the novelty of being new in town, he just might be the man I need to make The Acorn Café a success.
Colton Miller
All I wanted was a fresh start, and Hollow Bridge seemed like the perfect place. Then I botched my interview with Jenna Braden. There’s no way she’ll hire me to work at her café now. Not that I blame her. I’m the kind of guy who misses every shot he takes, though maybe I should leave the sports metaphors to my brother, Dallas. He is a professional baseball player, after all. I’m just a failed chef who can’t even get a job in a small town.
Returning to Indianapolis isn’t an option. I need as much distance from my family as possible, including Dallas. Especially Dallas. If I keep my head down, maybe he won’t find me here. Who knows what kind of havoc he would wreak in Hollow Bridge.
If you like cinnamon roll MMCs and a hint of danger, then this closed-door romance novella is for you!
The Chef’s Crush is book two in the interconnected Hollow Bridge Series. While they can be read as standalones, it is recommended to read the series in order.
