Lizzie
For over a year, someone has been anonymously buying all of my paintings every time I have a new showing. I only know him as Mr. Smith or “Muse” as my friends have nicknamed him. There is never any contact information or clues as to who this person is with each order, just a verified payment and a generic delivery service that picks up the artwork at random times.
My friends think he’s my secret admirer, while I’m more inclined to call him a stalker. Either way, every attempt to find out who he is has hit a dead end, and I’m not sure what to do. That is, until a telegram, yes, a real telegram like the ones that dated back to before the telephone, arrives for me asking me to paint a commissioned piece for one “Mr. Smith”.
He asks me to bare my soul, and I think I can use this to finally figure out who the Muse behind the mask really is. Only time will tell if this will lead to a deep connection or a police report.
“Muse”
I’ve fought my feelings for Elizabeth for years, but her paintings stir something in me that can no longer be ignored, and it’s time I finally act on them. Liz thinks I’m some stranger who stumbled upon her artwork one day, but the truth is, I’m a lot more connected to her than she could ever imagine. I only hope that when the mask finally comes off, she doesn’t end up rejecting me and throwing away years of history in the process.
Mystery Muse is the fourth book in the Silver Creek Sweethearts Series. As with all of KJ’s stories, this book is a clean romance with emotionally in-depth characters, plenty of laughs, and also difficult situations that the characters navigate with the help of their friends, family, and faith. Each of the Silver Creek Sweethearts books are interconnected standalones and while each book can be enjoyed on its own, for the best reading experience, it is recommended that you read the books in order.
