Synopsis

I fell in love with my best friend, CJ, long before I knew what love really was. However, on the night of our graduation, he betrayed me in a way so unforgivable that I fled to California in an effort to repair my broken heart. A year later, a family emergency forced me to return to my hometown, but by then, CJ was long gone.

Now, over a decade has gone by, and I haven’t seen my former best friend once in all that time, until one day he sweeps back into town as the newest doctor at the medical clinic I work at. And he has the audacity to be upset with me for being upset with him. Now he wants us to go back to the way things used to be, but I don’t have time to deal with the man who broke my heart. Beyond Betrayal is the first book in the Silver Creek Sweethearts Series. As with all of KJ’s stories, this book is a clean romance with emotionally in-depth characters, plenty of laughs, and also difficult situations that the characters navigate with the help of their friends, family, and faith. Each of the Silver Creek Sweethearts books are interconnected standalones and while each book can be enjoyed on its own, for the best reading experience, it is recommended that you read the books in order.
