Synopsis

PLEASE NOTE: TRIGGERS HAPPENED OFF PAGE BEFORE THE STORY. MMC is his niece’s Guardian as a result.

She was fired in front of Manhattan’s elite. Now she’s back to plan the city’s most glamorous New Year’s Eve Gala at the personal request of the man who destroyed her career.

Sophie Bell hasn’t forgotten the night billionaire Cole Kingston blamed her for a disastrous masquerade ball and made sure everyone knew it. The public humiliation shattered her confidence and got her fired from the most prestigious event firm in the city.

Three years later, Sophie has rebuilt her reputation as one of Manhattan’s top independent planners. When she’s commissioned to orchestrate Kingston Acquisitions’ exclusive New Year’s Eve Gala, she’s stunned, especially when the approval comes straight from Cole himself. Desperate for perfection, and short-staffed, he reluctantly agrees she’s the best.

Cole hasn’t forgiven her. As far as he’s concerned, she’s on thin ice. But he needs this gala to be flawless, and he needs help making Christmas joyful for his orphaned niece, Maddie.

When Cole turns to Sophie for guidance, her warmth and creativity bring light back into their world. As she fills their home with traditions, decorations, and laughter, the walls around his heart begin to melt.

Then a blizzard strands them together at Cole’s secluded upstate cabin, and tension turns to tenderness filled with quiet moments, playful banter, and the kind of longing neither can ignore. Sophie discovers Cole isn’t cold and calculated after all. He’s carrying the weight of grief and responsibility. And Cole begins to see that Sophie isn’t the woman he once blamed. She’s strong, kind, and the only one brave enough to thaw his guarded heart.

When the snow clears, Sophie pulls off the gala with grace and sparkle. But what began as redemption for her career might just become a second chance at love.

Because love, like snowflakes, can appear when you least expect it and melt even the frostiest heart.
