Synopsis

A forbidden love. A deadly secret. A fight for truth in Victorian England.

Katherine Bingham’s world is crumbling. Accused of murder in her own home and branded as unstable, her only escape is an arranged marriage to a man she does not love—the aging Duke of Ashton. But marrying him means securing safety… at the cost of her heart.

Nicholas Fairfax, the duke’s handsome, loyal nephew, has loved her since they were children, but now she’s promised to his dying uncle. Bound by honor yet drawn to her with every stolen glance, Nicholas can’t ignore the danger surrounding her.

When a series of mysterious accidents turns deadly, suspicion falls on Katherine. With the estate’s dark secrets closing in, she must rely on Nicholas, the one man she can never have, to prove her innocence. But uncovering the truth could cost them everything… even their lives.
