Synopsis

What happens when the Highland laird who’s supposed to be your enemy falls head-over-heels in love?

If Lady Emma Turnbull doesn’t reach her inherited cottage in time, her evil uncle and jilted fiancé will find her and force her hand in marriage. They want her inheritance, but she wants her freedom more. And she’s willing to fight to the death for it. When her carriage wheel breaks and she hears the hoofbeats approaching, she fears it may come to just that.

Laird Bryce Farquharson is honor-bound to despise the English. When his horse crashes through the brush to reveal an Englishwoman on his land, he wants to expel her. And he will—just as soon as he can take his eyes off her. But when Emma’s past catches up with her, Bryce finds himself doing a lot more than staring.
