Synopsis

There’s no guarantee the town will survive the epidemic, but he’ll do everything in his power to see they do.

When Delilah Fitzgerald finally makes it from Oregon to the small mountain town of Silver Springs in the Missouri Territory, she’s beyond relieved to find the one man she can trust. Unfortunately, he doesn’t feel the same way about her. Not able to go back in time and change a poor decision, she plunges ahead, hoping to gain his trust. She needs his help, and the only way to get it is to be completely honest with him. And that means revealing the secrets her mama kept hidden, and the ones Delilah uncovered while living in Oregon.

With his practice going strong, Doctor Bennet Martin should feel at peace. But losing a patient and friend while on the trail to Silver Springs causes him to make a promise to himself, which only he can keep. When the one person who broke his heart lands in Silver Springs, Bennet is forced to deal with the danger she brings with her. Now he must fight to protect her from whoever wants her dead, as well as save a town from disaster.
