Synopsis

“Karina’s terrified, and terrified people are much more manageable.”

In theory.

Karina despises the regime controlling her planet. She hides specialized fighting skills to avoid government entanglements, but an encounter with veteran police chief Avyer results in a violent fight that leads her to work for the very system she loathes.

Avyer witnesses her save and help citizens – himself included – causing him to doubt everything he has ever known. More dangerously, he finds himself falling for her.

When Karina is selected for a dangerous assignment, they find themselves at a crossroads.

They have put themselves in the line of duty time and again… but will their hearts lead them in the line of rebellion?
