Synopsis

When Cruz returns to Maple Valley, on a mission to recover from his mid-season injury, he doesn’t expect to end up in a fake relationship with Sadie, the adorable bookstore owner he met on his last visit to the small town. With his reputation in shambles and his newfound faith driving his need to repair it, his agent pushes the idea of a pretend relationship as a way to show his fans that he’s no longer a ladies’ man. Sadie is prepared to turn down the offer, but the attention Cruz is bringing to the bookstore is great for business, and after everything she’s been through, she could use all the help she can get. As the line between real and fake begins to blur, Sadie realizes that Cruz is the curveball she never saw coming. Time will tell if they’re heading for a home run or a strikeout.
