Synopsis

Arabella thought life would be simple—or at least simpler—once she learned how to use her powers as matriarch of the Heavens Clan. Instead she’s leading the front lines in a fight against a world-consuming entity doing things it’s not supposed to, while desperately trying to piece together a true alliance between clans more interested in increasing their personal power than saving the world. And the only clan she trusts, the Frost Clan, refuses to ally with Heavens unless they drop their desire to include more clans in the alliance. Not to mention coming to terms with the fact that she’s apparently going to marry the first guy she’s ever kissed.

Meanwhile, Luca, the second most powerful celestial guardian in existence, finally knows why he was born a seer. The Abyss is suddenly capable of things it could never do before. Planning schemes. Coming to Earth without detection. Possessing people. And, worst of all, dead set on killing the woman Luca loves. Now if only he could get her to look him in the eyes . . .

Amidst all this chaos, Arabella is still certain that she and Luca are better together, with or without their powers, and she’ll need all the support she can get to gather the allies she needs to stop the Abyss. Once she can untangle what, exactly, she feels for the confusing seer, that is.
