Clean Regency is my favorite genre, and Angela E. Johnson’s newest release met my high expectations! Juliana and Lucian were two of my favorite characters–I loved their banter, hate-to-love dynamic, and of course, the kisses! 😍 The plot was also very interesting–the incorporation of White’s betting book was a fun (and kind of scandalous) addition! I also really liked the other characters and will definitely be reading Rose’s story in book #3! If you’re looking for a Bridgerton-type read without the spice, the Madcaps of Mayfair series is waiting for you! Oh, and if you love enemies-to-lovers (seriously, Juliana wanted absolutely nothing to do with him 😅), you’ve found your next read! ❤️
