Regarding swearing: one of my older books (published 2013 w/Grand Central) has the hero blurting out once in exasperation “for G__d’s sake.” I honestly didn’t think of it as swearing at the time, but I found out later some might take offense. That would be the only instance in my books. There are mentions of previous traumas such as being orphaned young, and a young widow who had a bad marriage. My books are set in Victorian London, and there are occasional light descriptions of seamier places, people, and situations. Regarding the question of are these Christian books: yes, on the lighter side, with the themes presented in a subtle way. I’m attempting to reach a broader audience than only Christian fiction fans.
