Synopsis

When a skeptical doctor collides with a faithful chaplain, neither expects the storm that will change everything.

Dr. Brandon Lawson has built walls around his heart since losing his mentor to cancer. As Lakeside Community Hospital’s most dedicated emergency physician, he saves lives through medical expertise while dismissing faith as dangerous superstition. But when he encounters Grace Winslow in a hospital supply closet at midnight, her gentle strength challenges everything he believes about healing and hope.

Grace Winslow knows grief intimately. Five years after losing her husband in Afghanistan, the hospital chaplain supervisor has devoted herself to walking alongside others through their darkest valleys. She never expected to find herself drawn to a doctor who rejects everything she holds sacred, or to question whether loving again might compromise her calling.

When a devastating EF-4 tornado strikes Brookside, Georgia, Brandon and Grace are forced to work together as their small town faces catastrophic loss. Through deaths, impossible medical mysteries, and the appearance of a mysterious silver-haired stranger who leaves divine calling cards, they discover that true healing requires both medical skill and spiritual faith.

As Brandon witnesses Grace’s unwavering compassion for grieving families. and Grace sees Brandon fight for lives with fierce dedication, their opposites-attract chemistry becomes impossible to deny. But when Brandon’s crisis of faith explodes in a public confrontation that shatters Grace’s heart, both must decide if love is worth the risk of surrendering control.

A powerful story of Black love, faith tested by fire, and the courage to believe in second chances.

From a hospital chapel destroyed by the storm to a Christmas Eve wedding that unites a divided community, Running with Grace delivers an unforgettable Christian romance about two wounded healers who discover that sometimes the greatest miracle is finding someone who helps you believe again.
