Run Home is book 2 in the Kansas City Crowns Baseball series, but works as a standalone. However, I loved reading it in order to see all the characters progress along their journeys. (Home Safe is book 1).
Sam was my favorite side character from Home Safe, so I was super excited that she is the leading lady in Run Home. She is the sweetest woman with the biggest heart who deserves all the happiness in the world. I was rooting for her the whole time.
MMC Adrian Ortiz has all the playful otter energy and is impossible not to love. He is genuinely such a good guy and I loved watching him pursue Sam’s heart with passion and gentleness.
This book tackles some challenging topics. Sam was adopted from foster care due to childhood abuse & neglect. Her healing journey was written with such compassion. It was inspiring and full of hope. I love the positive therapy representation in this book!
