Synopsis

Zach has been dodging women and all things romance since his last messy breakup. But when he attends a speed dating event against his better judgment and meets funny, charming Paige, he might be persuaded to give love one last shot. That is, until she throws him at Celeste in an awkward dating bait-and-switch.

Fortunately for Zach, Celeste is dodging romance too. They’re both exhausted from being endlessly prodded into dating. What could make more sense than pretending to date each other? No messy feelings involved, no more pestering—it’s perfect.

When fake dating leads to real feelings, Zach’s going to have his own massive problem. Because it’s Paige he’s falling for, not Celeste. But how can he convince Paige that he doesn’t want Celeste? And with all the evidence of the past, how can she believe him?

Marrying Off Celeste is a slow burn strangers-to-friends-to-lovers romantic comedy. There’s fake dating (with a twist), witty banter, and swoony tension, but no spice.
