Synopsis

I’m teamed up with a man I hate on a scoop that could be my Big Break.

Years ago, Blake McGregor sabotaged my career, robbing me of the interview that would change my life.

Absolute humiliation.

Comically, on the long drive to our assignment, I eventually recognize my nemesis sitting beside me. But tragically, the penny drops only after I begin to catch feelings for my back-stabbing cameraman.

I grit my teeth and focus on the brief: report the story about Boston Bullets’ bad boy for News Breaks International, then get back to base without murdering my gorgeous colleague or giving in to the swoony attraction growing between us.

Plans quickly unravel and things get complex on the road. It’s hot. The car has no air con, and I am distracted by Blake’s obvious physical good looks and the way he assembles his equipment.

Under cover, we pretend to be lovers and I’m all flustered by Blake’s very convincing kisses, longing looks, and gentle touches. Are we just pretending or is this the real deal?

I guess we’ll find out when the assignment, and the road trip, end.
