Synopsis

She’s proven herself worthy of a prince, but can she prove herself capable of being a princess?
After multiple agonizing attempts to earn the princes’ favor, and one shocking duel, Diaspro has gained the attention of not only the princes, but the citizens as well. This would be an excellent development if the king weren’t so furious at her for earning their support by bending the rules. Enraged by her tactics, King Septimus declares that Diaspro may not wed any of his sons until she has proven herself undoubtedly worthy—by making her compete against other potential brides.

With a new roster of princesses on the way, Diaspro is forced to join forces with the princes who, until recently, hardly cared if she lived or died. A freshly spilled secret has bound their fate, leaving Diaspro to apprehensively trust the royals, or at least appease them so they keep quiet. However, not even the princes could have prepared her for the vicious women the king has pitted against her.

Warriors, pirates, and assassins alike make up the list of competitors, each more horrid than the last. To make matters worse, the rules state that whoever lands in last place will be executed—a thoughtful addition from the king. With the odds stacked against her and a crown on the line, can Diaspro save everyone she needs to? Or was she never fit to be a princess…?
