Synopsis

Taking this job is the last chance she has to earn her father’s love. She doesn’t expect to meet the one hockey player that can show her what “true love” really means, the one who could cost her her job—and her family.

When AJ McCullough’s father throws her a lifeline after months without a job, offering her the role of linesperson in the NHL, she can’t say no. She’s determined to be the best to prove she wasn’t just a nepotism hire. When the one player she’s been told to avoid slowly begins to become a fixture in her life, though, she tries to ignore the burning question: is this newfound connection with the hockey player her brother hates worth entertaining?

Jonny Dicketts doesn’t feel prepared for the season. Freshly named the captain of the Cincinnati Otters, the pressure for him to lead the locker room is on. He should be focusing on that, but the appearance of the new linesperson is capturing all his attention. With his team needing help and certain players threatening to go off the rails, however, he needs to rein in his attraction to her or possibly lose the team entirely.

As the season goes on and their paths keep crossing, they’ll have to decide: how willing are they both to risk everything for a chance at love?
