Synopsis

An unexpected kiss…changes everything.

Alexandra Masters yearns for a family of her own. She’s making progress too—her boyfriend checks all the right boxes. If only she could ignore Zac Danvers, her best friend’s brother. He’s insanely handsome and makes her heart race, but he’s also insufferably rude and seems to hate her. Luckily, he lives miles away so they’re rarely forced to see each other.

Zac’s job as a successful doctor in New York keeps him busy. A weekend trip home for Thanksgiving is exactly what Zac needs, except he can’t avoid seeing his sister’s best friend, Alexandra. His crazy attraction to Alex brings out the worst in him. But after sharing a spontaneous kiss, all he can think about is doing it again.

As time moves on and relationships change, the strong attraction between them remains constant. But with big obstacles standing in their way, will their dreams ever align? Will they fight to be together or will stolen moments be all their future holds?

This is the second book in the closed-door New Haven series, following the lives of a group of people who are linked through family, friends, and coworkers. Although part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. A happy ending is guaranteed, and there are no cliffhangers. (No swearing and kisses only.)
