I describe my books as “closed-door but not cozy,” meaning the books are free of explicit content and profanity but the character journeys sometimes deal with emotionally heavy content. I provided a trigger warning author’s note for TO TRUST A WOLF, because the heroine’s backstory includes a sexual assault and one of the tropes is mutual healing.
