Synopsis

The power to rewrite fate is more dangerous than it sounds – when it’s no longer a secret.

I was once the Narrator – the ruler of The Storylands – but I have become a curse in my own kingdom. A dark army moves under the command of a new self-appointed ruler, terrorizing a once peaceful kingdom, while characters are erased from existence one by one.
The stories are being altered, their power drained to fill the cups of the wicked. And behind it all lurks another darkness – the Pied Piper, an ancient force whose haunting melody can bend the will of any who hear it.
The one who betrayed me followed me into the curse to prove his loyalty. I don’t trust him, but I need his help. And the growing chemistry between us is making me question everything.
Then there’s the one who was sworn to protect me, with his thick brogue and silent strength. I was certain he’d come for me, but this time he didn’t.
This time, I will protect myself.
Fear of becoming the next victim has left me with few allies, and if I am found, I will be charged with treason and forced as the Narrator to rewrite a tale that would change everything – to the tune of the Piper.
