I wanted a drama-free senior year. Instead, my name was just turned into an album’s worth of horrible songs.
So far the year is off to a fantastic start.
Dumped by my boyfriend. Check.
Humiliated during a pep assembly. Check.
My sister dressing like she’s trying to be the bride of Satan. Unfortunately, also check.
Now my sister’s musician boyfriend has released an entire set of songs criticizing me. I’m over it. So over it.
Then I find out Rick (yes, the same sister’s boyfriend) is entering the High School Idol competition and will be singing one of his awful songs about me. That’s when I decide that I’m going to beat him. Publicly. On stage. Preferably while wearing glitter.
Sure, it’s petty. But it’s also personal.
The only thing keeping me sane right now? The hot, mysterious college guy I keep running into—who thinks I’m in college too. He’s sweet, gorgeous, and when I’m with him, revenge is the last thing on my mind. Almost.
But my little feud with Rick is wrecking things with my sister. And if the college guy finds out I’m still in high school? Yeah, that might be game over.
Can I win the competition, keep my secret, and survive senior year with my dignity (and love life) intact?
