Synopsis

When hope meets heartbreak, which will win?
Twenty-year-old Willa James left her small town and unfaithful ex-boyfriend behind a year and a half ago for college and a fresh start in a new city. With her heart still healing, she’s decided to wait a while before jumping back into the dating pool. When she bumps into her friend’s older brother, who makes her damaged heart start beating again, she frantically hides behind the walls she’s built up in order to protect herself and firmly plants him in the friendzone.

Pierce Rigdon has held a torch for Willa since his high school days but figured he didn’t have a chance with her due to her longtime boyfriend. He hasn’t seen Willa since he graduated, so imagine his surprise when he runs into her on his college campus. And now she’s single. Pierce longs for more than friendship, but with Willa’s battered heart firmly under lock and key, he’s resolved to be just friends… for now.

That might all change when Willa is swayed into attending her ex-boyfriend’s wedding, and Pierce offers to be her plus-one for emotional support. Will their growing feelings finally come out in the open? Or will heartbreak claim yet another victim?
