Synopsis

It started with a kiss.

It’s been eight months since Meg Bailey met the man who quickly captured her heart. They’ve exchanged letters, sharing news and daily happenings—all without their families knowing—though neither has been brave enough to put their true feelings to paper. Not when the distance between them seems insurmountable, and their dreams of being reunited continue to elude them.

But Lucas has plans. He’ll do just about anything to be with his beautiful Meg again.

Life out west, however, is never simple. Before their reunion has a chance to unfold, a town-wide robbery at the hands of a notorious gang puts both of them in grave danger. What if the only way to protect the woman he loves is for Lucas to stay far away from her?
