Synopsis

No matter where life takes him, he’ll always find his way back to her.

Ellie Burton has always known exactly what she wants: a stable career, a loving husband, and the kind of happy family she grew up with.

If she could have all of that with Spencer, great. But since he’s her best friend and wants no part of that life, she’s determined to find the next best thing.

Spencer Hawkins has spent his whole life finding refuge with Ellie and her family. Loving her is easy—it always has been. Giving her the life she wants is another story.

And now that he’s leaving to become a Marine, Spencer is determined to watch Ellie move on without him.

But when one kiss changes everything, staying friends is no longer an option.

Ellie’s willing to fight for them… but will Spencer stop fighting himself before he loses the one person who’s always felt like home?

Fans of childhood best-friend romances will adore this tale of a Marine and his lifelong friend navigating new feelings after his return from boot camp.

Expect plenty of sizzling chemistry and tender kisses in this closed-door military romance.
