Synopsis

From the world of Out of Dusk’s Shadow comes a story of friendship, love, and sacrifice where overcoming the demons of one’s past is the only way to make things last.

Ezra fled Elderbloom more than ten years prior and has since kept his mixed heritage hidden. Now he lives a modest life as a healer. He even has a best-friend. Of course that friend is also a raccoon, but where there is good conversation and plenty of snark, who truly cares? But there is more to Roland than simply a sentient raccoon and the truth will send Ezra back into Elderbloom, accompanied by Roland and a beautiful warrior. Will he be able to give his friend back the life that was ripped from his grasp long ago?

Lyla Ann has served Valdan alongside the other warriors who bear allegiance to King Raynor for more than ten years. But when her company is reassigned to the Wildwood, concerning actions and a bitter reveal leave her questioning much. Whatever is going on, Lyla Ann has agreed to join Ezra and Roland on their journey into Elderbloom. The journey is necessary, but may prove no less dangerous.
