Synopsis

Lucas Montgomery has kept silent for years, miserable as he watches his best friend, Rylie, date guy after guy, wishing it was him. When he finally confesses his feelings to her, she keeps him firmly in the friendzone. With a heavy heart, he moves away for college, as he can’t bear to stick around and watch her fall in love with someone else.

Rylie Monson realizes that no guy she meets can ever compare to her best friend, Lucas. Over the past three years, their friendship has slowly returned to normal, so when he brings home a girlfriend for their annual family Christmas party, Rylie is devastated. Seeing him with another woman is pure torture, exposing feelings she can no longer ignore.

Pushing her fears aside, Rylie decides she’s ready to put her heart on the line and fight for Lucas. Besides, all’s fair in love and war, right?
