Synopsis

What if everything you wrote came true?

In the rural town of Taylor’s Grove, eighteen-year-old, Ellie Derée finds solace in her writing of sweet tales of magic, kingdoms, and a dragon. A dark past haunts her trust in others, so she holds her stories close to her heart. All of her romantic fantasies go into the stories she pens based on the ones her missing dad told her as a child until she meets Erick McKinley, a handsome and refined gentleman with a secret hiding behind his silver eyes.

He’s the prince from her book, a prince mistakenly cursed to transform into a dragon every moonlit night.

When Erick steps into her world, he’s unaware that his curse will only get stronger, eventually consuming him if he doesn’t find true love by the upcoming ball. Because of past heartbreak and abuse, Ellie is terrified of falling in love again. As their connection deepens, she grapples with her past and the vulnerability that love demands. The thought of losing Erick weighs heavily on her heart, but her scars make it difficult for her to open her heart to the possibility of heartbreak once again.

Determined to save him and the kingdom of Tyral, Ellie must uncover the truth behind the curse while wrestling with the choices she made during creative stupors so the man she’s grown to care for deeply isn’t destroyed by a curse he didn’t deserve. As the ball approaches, she learns that true love can inspire courage and hope, but will she overcome her fears to embrace it?

With only true love standing between Erick and his doom, Ellie must confront her emotional walls. Can she find the strength to open her heart and write a new ending that leads to their happily ever after?

In this enchanting romance, Ellie discovers that love, despite its risks, holds the power to break even the darkest curses–if she only dares to believe in it.
