Synopsis

She has spent her life hiding the magic that could destroy her. He may be the first person strong enough to stand beside it.

Lyra Valen knows what happens when fire and ice collide.

As a rare hybrid mage, her power is dangerous, forbidden, and impossible to fully tame. So she keeps her distance from the village below her cottage, from the people who might fear her, and from anyone who might look too closely at the magic she barely survived learning to control.

Then corrupted creatures begin slipping through the forest.

Kael Draven arrives with a sword, secrets, and eyes that see far too much.

Kael is hunting the source of a spreading darkness, one tied to failing wards, missing mages, and a sorcerer who feeds on stolen power. He is disciplined, guarded, and infuriatingly difficult to ignore. Lyra does not trust him. She cannot afford to.

As danger closes in, hiding is no longer enough.

Forced into an uneasy alliance, Lyra and Kael must face ancient magic, monstrous corruption, and the growing truth between them: her power may be the only thing capable of stopping the darkness, and his steady presence may be the one thing keeping her from losing herself to it.

Because Lord Malvorn is searching for magic like hers.

And once the world learns what Lyra is, hiding may no longer be possible.

Whispers of Shadowfire is a closed-door fantasy romance filled with slow-burn tension, elemental magic, dangerous secrets, protective partnership, and a cliffhanger ending that continues into the next book.

Perfect for readers who enjoy protective warriors, magical creatures, forbidden magic, slow-burn romance, and dangerous secrets.
