My characters experience grief in various forms (miscarriage, death of loved ones). In addition, my debut novel, Safely Kept, does briefly describe an attempted assault, but the description is limited and not graphic. The focus, however, is more on the redemptive power of faith to help people overcome true hardships. While they exist and are pertinent to the storylines, these details do not dominate the plots.
