My novels usually contain PG-13 violence without gory details, sometimes threats of sexual violence that are non-descriptive, some books may contain physical abuse, or characters dealing with depression/suicidal thoughts, and some characters lose loved ones. I don’t shy away from difficult topics, but my books always have happy/hopeful/victorious endings.
