The main character has a rough home life and has been abused by his step-father. There is some mention of illegal recreation. (No drugs are ever named or described.) There is no sexual activity in this book but it does discuss the temptation of it in a mature, empathetic way. This is a Christian young adult romance, meant to show real young adults that no matter the question, God is always the answer, and He’s bigger than any of our real-world problems.
