There is often mention of difficult topics in characters’ back stories (i.e. parent abandonment, death of a loved one) but they do not take center stage. I will include a trigger warning if these topics become a main component in any future books, but my books will always be hopeful, inspirational, and joyful at the heart. (Adding a comment here for audiobooks question — I do not have any audiobooks currently available, but I am pursuing this medium currently!)
