Synopsis

She’s the woman of his dreams.

After the breakup of his band, country music performer Kyle Callahan retreats to tiny Hidden Veil to write songs and explore his career options. But his creative well has run dry and he considers his worthiest option as a pathway to failure. When he discovers the local coffee shop owner is a woman he once met and has never forgotten, the small town’s appeal skyrockets for city boy Kyle. If only she didn’t make it glaringly clear she wants nothing to do with him.

He’s her worst nightmare.

Jo Ella Ledbetter won’t chance a romantic involvement with another man bent on seeking the limelight. She made that mistake once and learned the hard way what happens to those who are left waiting in the backstage shadows. With her grandmother’s plot to win Kyle for her in a bachelor auction and her cheating ex-husband’s persistence in contacting her, Jo becomes caught between wanting to trust in the goodness of a musician’s heart or hanging on to past hurts.

How will two people with opposing visions for their futures find common ground?

Get to know the first of a series of couples who navigate the joys and pitfalls of life and love in their quaint and tight-knit southern hometown of Hidden Veil, North Carolina.
