Synopsis

This is the worst reason to come out of hiding…

After her political marriage implodes, Alison Taylor retreats inside her home for the next four years, content to stay there. But when her best friend gets invited on the reality show, Matchmaker for Hire, Alison reluctantly agrees to tag along. The show’s host is Dale Fox, a former gossip hunter who used to mock her for a living, and Alison plans to watch him like a hawk and keep her friend from getting hurt.

Dale Fox has apologized to every star he’s encountered since quitting Celebrity Breakdown, but Alison Taylor deserves his apologies the most. Which means she hates him the most, and the attraction he feels towards her is the most hopeless cause in the history of the universe. Putting her friend on his new show is a desperate move, but he’s not sorry. Not even a little bit.

It’s a behind-the-scenes pursuit that absolutely can’t take center stage. And if Alison stops hating him, what does that leave room for? Love?

The timing, the guy, and the place are all wrong, but what if her heart finally has it right?
